The Grip UP Sport Climbing Association (Grip UP) is the only sport climbing organization in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. It was formed in 2002 through the efforts of UP Diliman students who are likewise sport climbing enthusiasts. These students sought the companionship of other UP students who shared their interest and, to some, their passion for climbing, which motivated them to form an organization. The founders of Grip UP envisioned widening the pool of climbers from UP Diliman, forming a team that could officially represent the school come competitions, providing UP students with alternative climbing facilities, and simply popularizing and raising the level of sport climbing in the University. In the bigger picture, Grip aims to contribute in the growth of sport climbing in the Philippines by reinforcing students to commit to the sport. In spite of being a young organization, with only four years of existence, GRIP UP already organized several activities for the further promotion of sport climbing within and outside the university. *** Grip UP Members: Hey, this is our space in the web. The school year 2009-2010 is fast approaching, majority our Youth are still out there without any education. Others can initiate going to school but could not sustain their education due ti financial difficulties. Airsoft players and lovers alike has come up a Project on helping children to have school supplies for this coming school year.
This event is proposed by MAG16 (Marikina Airsoft Group 16) and aims to provide a venue to show the talents of Guys and Gals customizing their AEG/AEP.
The proceeds of this project will help our less fortunate young brothers and sister of Jolo, Sulu in Mindanao. Through your help, we will be putting smiles on children's faces and as well as knowledge which will be stored in the school supplies that will be given.
On this behalf, we are reaching out to you to be one of the sponsors of this event. It will be a great honor and privilege to have you participate in the activity and be one of the people who will put a smile in each child's face in Mindanao.
